The scale of this driveway circle and front courtyard demanded bold paver bands to direct vehicle flow and define different areas of the project. Unilock Courtstone was used in a double wide inset band around the edges of the project, and was inlaid in sweeping curves to draw the eye towards the front door.
For the main paver field, Unilock Thornbury pavers were chosen to coordinate with the color and texture of stone accents on the house. The joint space of these pavers is wide enough to let water flow through so that when they are laid on an open graded base, the area becomes ‘permeable’. This means that rainwater can flow back into the subsoil instead of running off the surface and into storm sewers.
